Welcome to ZMS Math Acceleration
Math Intervention is a course designed to integrate proven research-based strategies that are effective in increasing achievement for struggling learners. Students will use hands-on exploration, visual clarification, and written expression with symbols. Students will often work in pairs, small groups, and practice math skills using computer programs. Students will complete lessons in the computer program, I-ready, to master skills.

Supplies:
Each student will need to bring the following to class:
1. Folder with paper
2. Pencils
3. Earbuds/headphones
Grades:
Students will complete assignments and quizzes in I-ready and will receive grades based on their performance. Students will also complete a warm-up each day counting toward classwork. These warm-ups will be collected every Friday.
Homework: Students should practice multiplication facts each night for 10 minutes, either on a tablet/mobile device or with flash cards.
Grading Scale:
- Homework 10%
- Classwork 20%
- Quizzes/small projects 30%
- Tests/large projects 40%
